The Story手ぬぐいについて

The tenugui is one of Japan's most versatile and enduring textile traditions — a simple cotton cloth used for everything from hand-drying to gift-wrapping, from festival decoration to wall art. This piece features cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji, Japan's two most iconic and beloved images, hand-dyed using traditional techniques. 手ぬぐいは日本でもっとも多用途で長く愛されてきた布のひとつです——手を拭くだけでなく、包み物・祭りの飾り・壁掛けアートにまで使われます。この作品は桜と富士山——日本を代表するふたつのアイコン——を伝統的な手法で染め上げたものです。
