The Story作品について
Taisho Yuzen refers to the distinctive dyeing style of the Taisho era (1912–1926), a period when Japanese textile art flourished with bold colours, Western influences, and exceptional technical refinement. 大正友禅とは、大正時代（1912〜1926年）に花開いた独特の染色様式です。この時代、日本の染織芸術は鮮やかな色彩・西洋の影響・高度な技術革新によって大きく発展しました。
The fabric used in this piece was sourced through our host's connection with 凛 (Rin) — a long-established kimono salon in Nakazaki-cho, Osaka, where rare and authentic kimono textiles are carefully preserved. この作品に使用している生地は、中崎町の老舗着物サロン「凛」とのご縁で出逢った、希少な本物の着物生地です。
Each piece of Taisho Yuzen fabric is hand-selected and carefully composed by our host, giving the textile a new life as a framed artwork — a work that belongs equally to the world of fashion and fine art. 生地はホストが一枚一枚手で選び、丁寧に構成・額装することで、ファッションとアートの両世界に属する作品として新たな命を与えています。
The Original Fabric着物生地について
Before becoming a framed artwork, the textile begins as an authentic piece of Taisho Yuzen kimono fabric — the very same cloth that would once have graced a kimono. This is the original fabric used in the sakura and swallow pieces you see here, displayed as it was found, before being carefully cut and mounted. The fabric itself is on display only, and is not available for purchase. 額装アートになる前は、本物の大正友禅の着物生地です——かつては実際に着物として誂えられていた布そのもの。ここに展示されている桜とツバメの作品に使われた生地を、カットされる前の状態でご覧いただけます。生地自体は展示のみで、販売はしておりません。
A Rare Encounter — Salon 凛, Nakazaki-cho老舗着物サロン「凛」中崎町
The authentic kimono fabrics in the Sakurasaku Collection were gathered through our host's special connection with 凛 (Rin), a long-established kimono salon in the charming neighbourhood of Nakazaki-cho, Osaka. Each piece of fabric is rare and genuine — selected with care from a collection that spans generations.
As a guest of Sakurasaku, a visit to the salon may be arranged depending on schedule — an experience available exclusively to our guests.
Sakurasaku Collectionの着物生地は、大阪・中崎町の老舗着物サロン「凛」とのご縁で出逢った希少な本物の生地ばかりです。世代を超えて受け継がれてきたコレクションから、ひとつひとつ丁寧に選んでいます。
さくらさくのご宿泊者様には、スケジュール次第でサロンへのご案内も可能です。ご希望の方はお気軽にお申し付けください。
About the Frame額縁について
This piece was created by our host, who sourced the authentic Taisho Yuzen fabric and composed the work by hand. The frame is by Yamamoto of Kyoto — a long-established artisan frame maker selected to complement the textile within. この作品はホストが大正友禅の本物の生地を自ら集め、手で構成・制作したものです。額縁は京都の老舗額縁店Yamamotoのものを使用しています。
