The Storyお香について

Kodo — the art of incense — is one of Japan's three classical refinements, alongside ikebana (flower arranging) and chado (tea ceremony). Japanese incense is not merely fragrance; it is a practice of attention, of slowing down, of being present. The incense placed in this room was chosen for its connection to that tradition. 香道——お香の芸術——は、華道・茶道と並ぶ日本の三大古典芸道のひとつです。お香は単なる香りではありません。注意を払い、立ち止まり、今この瞬間に在るための実践です。このお部屋に置かれたお香は、そのような伝統との繋がりを大切にして選んでいます。
